The music is in 4/4 and begins on beat two. Start with your hands on the beating plane, but slightly raised so that you can bounce downwards to show the first beat and where your singers should breath. Then fall to the beating plane for  the second beat, showing the singers where to begin singing. Try this while conducting “Be Still, My Soul”.
