Feeling the Ictus

Video

The beat plane is the bottom line of the conducting frame which you drew in the previous exercise. It’s where the ictus occurs - the invisible contact point.
Imagine this plane as the same place where you would make contact with a bouncing ball or yo-yo to keep it bouncing.
You need to become so used to the location of the beat plane that it feels natural and effortless. Again, use a mirror.
