7 Time signature 6/8

Video

The English nursery rhymes and children songs are often in 6/8 time signature. For an English child this beautiful waving- or rocking-like rhythm functions like a musical mother tongue. For the majority of children to learn the pieces written in 6/8 time signature and to feel the two dotted crotchet pulse is not easy. In this lesson, we offer the teachers exercises and repertoire to teach and help pupils to understand and feel the beat of this compound rhythm.
