The note-set repertoire is growing and children start to sing, read and play children songs and nursery rhymes consisting already four-note melodies. For four notes we need two lines where the fourth note is placed on the second line. This two-line system considerably diminishes reading mistakes. The intonation of the semi-tone in the major tetrachord (Do-Re-Mi-Fa) is demanding, therefor singing with the syllables Mi-Fa before playing is recommended. The high vowel “I” and the low vowel “a” helps the intonation.
