When singing, a child will hear internally all the major scales after the pattern Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do and all the natural minor scales after the pattern La-Ti-Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La, beginning with any natural tone or its chromatic alteration.
