Dr. Laszlo Nemes, Director of the Kodaly Institute of the Liszt Academy Hungary, was invited to Indiana State University School of Music  to give an introductory lecture about the Kodalyian heritage and to conduct different workshops.

Lecture: Kodályian Heritage of Safeguarding Traditional Musical Culture in Hungary and the Creation of a New Modern Classical Style

9 am - 4 pm


- Singing, singing, singing - introduction to musicianship training according to Kodály’s music pedagogical concept   

The development of two new models for teaching music in the classroom

Music & Movement –  the development of music listening competencies

About Kodályhub

The Kodály HUB is a public on-line Knowledge Centre in which a Musicbook, a Community, a Calendar and further resources are available to assist teachers in their everyday work. The Songbook contains several hundred songs and music listening materials from all over the world. The songs are analysed using many key, searchable parameters and (when relevant) accompanied by a game or movement activity to support the teaching objectives and increase the enjoyment of the lesson.
