Monday, Aug 15, 2022 14:00 – Sunday, Aug 21, 2022 17:30
Tanglin Trust School - Singapore

The Asia Kodaly Symposium (AKS) is a biennial event presented by the Kodaly Academy of Music (Singapore) in collaboration with the Kodaly Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music (Hungary)

#AKS2022 will explore the theme of “Engaging the Masses, Building Bridges Through Music”. We explore ideas of advocacy through music, creative ways of bridging the divide between classical and pop music, equitably empowering the masses with tools and ideas for music literacy as well as explore diverse cultures and pedagogical ideas that include but are not limited to Kodaly-inspried ideas.

The 5th Asia Kodály Symposium will be held in Singapore from the 15-21 August 2022. True to our core values of excellence, people and innovation, the AKS will be held in a hybrid format for the very first time to expand possibilities for participation in face-to-face and virtual formats.

More information about the programme and how to register can be found here.

About Kodályhub

The Kodály HUB is a public on-line Knowledge Centre in which a Musicbook, a Community, a Calendar and further resources are available to assist teachers in their everyday work. The songs are analysed using many key, searchable parameters and (when relevant) accompanied by a game or movement activity to support the teaching objectives and increase the enjoyment of the lesson.

The Kodály HUB was created under an Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership Programme Kodály HUB - Sing. Learn. Share.

In 2019, 2020, 2021, the maintenance of the Kodály HUB has been supported by the National Cultural Fund of Hungary and the "Everyday Singing" programme of the Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary, the fee of the logo registration was covered by the National Research and Development Office of Hungary.
