The second level of the training is defined and organically connected to the level of musicianship that can be obtained and expected after the completion of the first level of the programme. It includes a wide selection of Kodály’s exercises, a selection of art music examples much richer than at the first level. Areas of musical skill development include the development of a sense of rhythm through a lot varied metric structures, the development of tonal hearing through more difficult sight-reading examples (chromaticism, change of do-positions, major and minor tonalities, all key signatures) and through the further refinement of functional-harmonic hearing. At this stage participants will enrich their knowledge of classical musical forms through in-depth analysis of examples of the Viennese classical style. 
The methodological module provides a general insight into the theoretical background of Kodály music pedagogy and the diversity of the Hungarian music teaching methods.
The level of difficulty will be adjusted to the exam requirements, but it will take maximum account of the members of the study groups and the possible slight differences in regards to prior musical experience.

ONLINE TUTORING
- musicianship - tutoring and consultation in small study groups for 2 hours/week for 20 weeks
25 September – 1 December 2023 (fall term) and 26 February – 4 May 2024 (spring term)
CLOSING EXAMINATION WORKSHOP in Kecskemét - 13-14 July, 2024
